DLF Industries Association organised a Breast Cancer Awareness and Detection (Mammography) amp in Rural Area Ashiyana Apartments, Sector- 56A Faridabad supported by Rotary Club Faridabad MidTown and END Foundation today where 25 females were checked and screened.
To create Cancer awareness amongst the participants, Mr. JP Malhotra President DLFIA emphasized the need for getting oneself examined and screened. So that any cancer development can be diagnosed at the initial stage which makes the treatment easy and economical.
Ms. Monica Bhardwaj Radiologist FIA, advised the participants for self- examination and how they could come to know about cancer. Any pain, knot formation secretion or size changes in breast are symptoms that call for Mammography. These symptoms start developing @ age of 35 plus among
married women.
Ms. Neha gives details of STRIVE project and advised the girls/ Ladies to register themselves under NAPS and DLFIA would get them engaged in companies @ 8500/- per month for one year with the aid of Govt. of Haryana.
Mr. Parveen Tewatia, END Foundation, appreciated the efforts of DLFIA, Rotary Club Fbd MidTown and Cancer Foundation for bringing such an expensive Cancer Checkup Van at their doorstep in Rajiv Colony. Mr. Parveen thanked Mr. JP Malhotra and his Team for the wonderful support and
consideration for poor strata of society , who cannot think or afford getting testing done due to lack of awareness and funds.
Congratulation to Team DLF Industries Association for a very successful initiative and cancer awareness & check up champ where in 25 women were checked up for Breast Cancer. Any case where further action is suggested by the report will be referred to AIIMS New Delhi. All Free of cost.
